Privacy
Privacy policy
This site sets no cookies and therefore needs no consent banner. Here, plainly, is the data processed and what happens to it.
In short
- The site sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts.
- No analytics is in place: no Google Analytics, no equivalent.
- No external resources are loaded: fonts, icons and images are hosted on this site.
- The only personal data processed is what you send voluntarily through the contact form or the booking link.
That is also why you see no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.
Data controller
- Controller: Antoine Soetewey, trading as datanalyze
- Address: Rue Fond du Village 6, 1315 Incourt, Belgique
- Contact: ant.soetewey@gmail.com
- Enterprise number (BCE/KBO): TO BE COMPLETED : enterpriseNumber
Cookies and trackers
This site uses no cookies. It stores nothing on your device: no cookie, no local storage, no session identifier, no tracking pixel.
Nor does it call external resources that could track you without your knowledge: there is no Google Fonts stylesheet loaded from a CDN, no social media button, no embedded map and no embedded video.
The contact form and the booking link are plain outbound links — precisely so that no third-party cookie is set during your visit.
There is therefore no separate cookie page on this site: there would be nothing to put on it.
Analytics
No analytics tool is installed. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Matomo, none at all. I therefore do not know how many people visit this site, nor which pages they read.
I also have access to the following:
- the aggregated statistics from Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, which show which queries the site appears for in search results — these tools store nothing on your device and give me no individual data;
- the technical logs of the host (Netlify), kept briefly for security and operational reasons, which I can only see in aggregate.
Data you send me
Contact form
If you use the contact form, you are taken to a form hosted by Airtable. The data you enter there (name, email address, description of your need, and anything else you choose to add) is passed to me so that I can answer your request.
- Purpose: answering your request and, where relevant, preparing a proposal.
- Legal basis: your request itself — pre-contractual steps taken at your initiative (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Recipient: me alone. Your data is never sold, shared or used for marketing.
- Retention: for as long as needed to handle your request, then for the duration of the working relationship if one begins, and at most three years after our last contact.
Booking a call
If you book a call, you are taken to Calendly, where you provide your name, email address and preferred slot.
- Purpose: arranging the call.
- Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your initiative.
- Retention: same as for the contact form.
Data entrusted during an assignment
If we work together, you will send me data to analyse. It falls under a separate regime:
- I act as a processor under the GDPR, with you remaining the controller;
- the data is used only for the agreed assignment, and for nothing else;
- it never leaves my workstation and is passed to no third party;
- it is deleted at your request at the end of the assignment;
- a non-disclosure agreement can be signed before anything is sent;
- for health data or other sensitive data, a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is put in place, and sending pseudonymised data is preferred.
Processors and transfers
| Processor | Role | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Netlify, Inc. | Website hosting | View |
| Airtable, Inc. | Contact form | View |
| Calendly, LLC | Call booking | View |
All three are established in the United States. Data transfers rely on the mechanisms set out in Chapter V of the GDPR (standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework).
Airtable and Calendly only concern you if you deliberately click the corresponding links. Simply browsing the site triggers no transfer.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over your personal data.
To exercise them, write to ant.soetewey@gmail.com. I reply within one month.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels — autoriteprotectiondonnees.be.
Security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Assignment data is kept on an encrypted workstation and is not placed on consumer storage services.
Changes
This policy may be updated, in particular if an analytics tool is ever switched on — in which case the corresponding section above will appear automatically.
A dataset to analyse, a method to validate?
Describe your need in a few lines, or book a first no-commitment call. I will tell you straight if I am the right person for it.
